Womens Paragliding Open from 21 – 28 August 2010

I am very happy to announce the first edition of the first ever all women paragliding open. The place we picked for you is Àger, Spain.

After some negotiations we finally found a date, that does not conflict with other major events that year, like the Pre-Worlds, the Continental Championships or the World Cups. The date is: 21 to 28 August 2010.
The venue will be Àger in the Spanish Pyrenees. We were working hard to evaluate different sites. Other candidates on our shortlist were Piedrahita, Feltre, Levico, St. Andre and Fiesch. We made the final decision by the end of November.

We, the organizing committee with Klaudia Bulgakow, Karolina Kociecka, Caroll Licini, Nicky Moss, Desiree Pansi and me, expect international top level pilots from all around the world to come. FAI/CIVL promised to sanction the event as category 2.

Not only will this be an exciting experience from the sportive side with only women racing among themselves for the first time ever, but we will also provide briefings, debriefings and talks in order to make this event a unique learning experience for all competitors.

You are a female cross country pilot with some experience in cross country flying? Then the Womens Paragliding Open 2010 in Àger is the competition you want to be in! See you from 21 to 28 August. – More details will be presented soon on our website www.womenspgopen.org.
